                      The  cottages (ref.MCE 043) are situated by the river Tarn ( 1/2 hour from the Tarn gorges ) at the foot of  Mount Lozere (1700 m) in the heart of the Cevennes National Park:  Parc National des Cevennes:  19ème Festival nature. 2011

                        This rural location is 400 m from Pont de Montvert villagePont de Montvert, this village has 3 bridges, and is of historical interest  for it is where the Camisards war began in 1702: la guerre des Camisards 

                         The Chastel  country cottages are superbly situated at the crossroad of several " grande randonnée " paths ( a network of paths which criss-cross the french countryside , and much-loved by serious walkers such as: le GR 70 , le GR 68 ( circuit around Mont Lozère ), le GR 72, le GR 7, rando Pont du tarn and Stevenson's path le chemin de Stevenson : ( voir :le parcours et la VIDEO.) and are able to accomodate groups (up to 50 people), families and walkers.
