- Sporting Activities -

The region of Pont de Montvert is situated in a mountain area  of medium altitude ( 875m a.s.i. ) , in the heart of the Cevennes National Park, with Mount Lozère ( 1700m a.s.i. ), the Bougès and its forests, and many rivers, the Tarn, Rieumalet, and Martinet.

It's an ideal region for sporting activities:

Summer and spring:  bathing, hiking on foot, on horse-back, on donkeys, mountain biking, rapids, climbing, tennis, fishing.

Autumn:  mushrooms, chestnutes, stag troating.

Winter: skiing, cross country skiing, walking in snow-shoes.

   In Summer and Spring:
   bathing

The cottages are 100 m from the Tarn river. Upstream or downstream of the village ( for 15 to 20 km ) you can bathe and picnic in isolated, peaceful spots ( even  in August ! ). You can easily swim there, and moreover, there are shallow pools enabling young children to bathe safely.

As you come into the village, there is the famous Oule pool, a huge natural swimming pool measuring 30  m by 8 m with a beautiful waterfall. Higher up on the Tarn there are other pools : la cabine, la fourmi, la miellerie, Gasbiels, ( beyond Villeneuve ).

Downstream for 15 to 20 km the Tarn provides you with dozens of isolated bathing places.
